The slatted frame has an important function. Bed base and mattress together form the orthopedic optimal lying surface. Important criteria are the size, weight and sleeping behavior of the sleeper, as well as the mattress to be used. Toddlers and light-weight teenagers can well take a rigid solid slatted frame. It is particularly stable and withstands raging on the play bed. With increasing size and weight, a flexible slatted base is advisable. This offers a better fit for the shoulders and hips and thus an ergonomically better lying.
Please note that not all bed frames are suitable for all beds. A higher slatted frame reduces the height of fall protection in the loft bed. We will advise you personally.
